Red Bird Cottage and Farm, LLC is a woman-owned, family-run small wellness business started in 2022. It was born from a place of deep personal loss, divine timing, and resilient hope.
In 2021, founder Alisha Casamona tragically and unexpectedly lost her father, John J. Grill III, to COVID-19. As one of the most important figures in her life, his sudden passing turned their family's world upside down. In the midst of navigating this profound grief, Alisha and her family were presented with an opportunity to purchase two homes on a quiet, private lakefront in Central Florida—one for Alisha and her husband, and one for her newly widowed mother.
From the moment they set foot on the property, they felt a deep connection to the land and a sense of peaceful guidance. However, as a lifelong horse owner, Alisha needed more pasture to bring their beloved horses close. In what felt like another divine moment, the neighboring property—complete with a third house and four additional acres—became available, completing the farm layout.
Cardinals began appearing frequently around the properties. Keeping in mind the old comfort, "When cardinals appear, angels are near," the family decided to name this special retreat **Red Bird Cottage and Farm** in loving memory of John J. Grill III.
Today, Alisha, Kristen, and their families have poured their hearts into making this tranquil lakefront farm a peaceful sanctuary where others can escape the noise of everyday life, slow down, and experience the comforting, natural healing of nature and animals.
